Milan: AC Milan thrashed Empoli 1-0 on Saturday thanks to a goal from Pierre Kalulu to take a five-point lead at the top of Italian Serie A.
Milan tops the list with 63 points from 29 games. That is five points more than second-placed Inter Milan, who have played two gamesnkess. Third place Napoli has 57 points, fourth place Juventus has 56 points and fifth place Atlanta has 47 points.
Kalulu’s goal in the 19th minute was enough for Milan to win. Empoli, who attacked Milan’s post only once in the first half, improved in the second half but could not return to the game.
Empoli are 13th with 32 points from 29 games. In the year 2022, Empoli has not won any game so far.
Juventus beat Sampdoria 3-1 to strengthen their chances of making the top four.
