Mykhailo Mudryk of Shakhtar Donetsk has received an upgraded offer from Arsenal, which is thought to be worth up to £62 million.
After originally rejecting Arsenal‘s opening offer of £35 million plus £17 million in add-ons, negotiations are still ongoing, and Shakhtar is eager to obtain a higher guaranteed amount up front for the 21-year-old.
Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are still negotiating a deal for Joao Felix, but Manchester United is only willing to pay £13.25 million for the forward from Portugal.

Felix is rumored to demand an additional £5.3 million in pay over the course of the rest of the season, bringing the total price of the deal close to £20 million.
There are currently no ongoing conversations with United, and until the Spanish club changes its position, that is not likely to change.
Before continuing, Arsenal and Chelsea would also need their numbers to decrease.
As part of their emphasis on developing young players, the Blues had also expressed interest in Mudryk. On Thursday, Mudryk turns 22, and Chelsea hosts Manchester City in a Premier League matchup the same day.

Mikel Arteta‘s team is eager to add additional attacking alternatives to help them in their title defense, therefore Arsenal remain the heavy favorites to sign the winger.
On New Year’s Eve, Mudryk wrote on Instagram that he was watching “2 great coaches”: Roberto Ze Derbi, the manager of Brighton, and Arteta, the former head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk.
It has been interpreted as another hint that Mudryk would relocate to north London.
On Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium in the city, Arsenal will square off against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in a match between the first and third places.
