After Chelsea‘s FA Cup loss to Man City, Thiago Silva’s wife Belle Silva posted a message that appeared to be sarcastic and directed towards Chelsea.
Pep Guardiola‘s team destroyed the Blues 4-0, handing them their second loss in three days.
As Chelsea‘s terrible run continues, Silva was an ineffective substitute in the awful effort at the Etihad.
As Chelsea supporters yelled Thomas Tuchel‘s name, the crowd’s attitude toward Graham Potter changed.
Thiago’s wife Belle Silva, who isn’t averse to criticizing the team publicly, wrote a message on social media during the match.
It read:
“I just think that going back or looking for solutions when you take a hasty and totally wrong attitude is not wrong. #goblues.”
She had criticized Chelsea supporters for jeering following their team’s Premier League loss to City just a few days prior.
Belle Silva penned:
“Don’t come to Stamford Bridge if you’re not singing. Come on Chelsea.”
With them now eliminated from both domestic cup competitions and ranked 10th in the Premier League, Potter will be under pressure.
He said:
“The results in a small space of time are not positive,” he said.
“You can make excuses and look for reasons or say it isn’t good enough. Both of those answers are correct.
“We have to keep improving and stick together because clearly we are suffering as a football club and it’s not nice at all. But that’s where we are at the moment.
“We can’t do anything apart from do our jobs better and work harder. You understand the supporters’ frustration, we respect that. But our job is to do our job and keep working.”
