Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli will sign a contract extension untill 2027 with Arsenal

Despite interest from other, Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly prepared to commit his future to Arsenal and sign a contract extension until 2027.

The youthful player has been a revelation for Mikel Arteta’s team this year and has established himself as a regular starter for the Premier League front-runners.

Despite interest from Spain, there had been rumors that he would be convinced to leave the Emirates, but the Brazilian is now allegedly prepared to extend his Arsenal contract.

Martinelli, according to SPORT, is at ease working on Arteta’s project and would like to extend his contract until 2027.

His current contract expires in 2024, which sparked interest from several teams in Europe, including Barcelona.

Although they had looked into Martinelli’s potential acquisition and had tracked his progress during the World Cup with Brazil, Xavi’s team currently appears unlikely to seal a deal.

The footballer’s entourage is friendly with the Catalan team, and they were made aware of his intentions before making any moves to sign him.

He has five goals and two assists in the Premier League so far this season, and if given a central position on the field, he might add to those totals.

He has 104 appearances and 23 goals with the Gunners overall since signing from Brazilian club Ituano in 2019.
