Kathmandu: British businessman Nick Candy is set to buy Premier League club Chelsea.
According to the BBC, trader Candy is in talks with investors to bid for the Premier League club.
The businessman is said to be a supporter of Chelsea.
Chelsea boss and Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich announced the club’s sale two weeks ago.
The deadline to buy Chelsea is March 15.
Roman, who owns the London club, said he had decided to sell Chelsea in the club’s interest.
Roman bought Chelsea in 2004. However, he has recently been banned from living in the UK.
He had been living in the UK on an investor visa. His visa has expired.
The United Kingdom has been reluctant to issue visas to Russian citizens since Russia invaded Ukraine.
