Prior to Newcastle‘s match against Leeds, Bruno Guimaraes honored Pele by donning a signed Brazil number 10 shirt.
Prior to Saturday’s Premier League match at St. James’ Park, the Brazilian wore Pele’s jersey as a sign of appreciation for one of his nation’s most illustrious individuals.
The 25-year-old player wore the shirt as he came out of the tunnel and stood with his teammates during a minute of applause in Pele’s honor.

Pele, who had a variety of health concerns in recent years, sadly passed away last week at the age of 82.
He is regarded as possibly the best football player to ever play the game and won an incredible three World Cups in 1958, 1962, and 1970.

Many players from all around the world were inspired by Pele, which is why numerous football legends have recently paid tribute to him.
Bruno, a star for Newcastle, was one of them and paid a touching homage to his fellow countryman on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Bruno wrote: “What remains, King, is your legacy, your story and everything you did.
“We are grateful for everything you have provided.”
