Champions League: The pre quarter finals are starting from today


Kathmandu: The last 16 (pre-quarterfinal) matches of the European Champions League, known as the ‘World Cup of Clubs’ in Europe, are starting tonight. As the draw of this phase was made public two months ago, the game will start from tonight. Out of the group stage, 32 teams were eliminated and 16 teams entered the last 16 while remaining in the title race. Now these 16 teams will compete for the last eight (quarterfinal) entry. 8 teams will be out and 8 teams will enter the next round. Now the games from the last 16 to the semi-finals will be based on two legs, home and away.

There will be only two games on the first day today. Where a game will be the biggest and most dangerous game of the last 16 rounds. In this game, the French club PSG, which is currently in the sub-division of ‘Europe’s Super Team’, will face the Spanish giants Real Madrid. PSG is the team of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, while Real is the team of Karim Benzema, Vinicius Jr., Eden Hazard. The game of PSG and the most experienced Real in the Champions League, which is full of superstar players, is eagerly awaited.

In today’s second match, Portugal’s top domestic league champions Team Sporting and English Premier League leader Manchester City will also play tonight. However, these games will not be officially broadcast on Facebook.
