Pele’s daughter Kely Nascimento confirmed her father’s (Pele) terrible death on Thursday, December 29 at the age of 82 in a moving Instagram post.
After losing his battle with colon cancer, the Brazilian legend passed away. His daughter shared an emotional post with her followers, thanking her father for everything she had.

In her post, Nascimento wrote, “Everything we are is because of you. You have our undying love. Three sorrowful emojis are displayed after the words “Rest in peace.”
The image of the post itself featured a number of hands encircling a person in a hospital bed who was presumably her renowned father.
Seven kids, as well as the larger football community, are still familiar with the Brazilian great.
The most difficult day of his life, according to one of his grandsons, Arthur Spies, was followed by the words: “But now all that’s left are the beautiful times, what Pele accomplished for Brazil and for the globe, the people that he helped, and the victories in his career and life.”
Grandfather Dico No matter where you are, on Earth or in heaven, you will always be my hero. I am confident that you will always be there for me, wherever you may be, to support and bless me in everything I do in life.

“I am confident that you will have a vivid mental picture of me in heaven as a grandson who was always there for you, who adored you deeply, and who yearned to be with you always.
I will always carry you with me in my life, in good times and bad, because I know that if you were here, you would support me. I love you, grandpa, no matter where you are.
Stephany Nascimento, the first grandchild of Pele, wrote: “Hey Grandpa, you achieved your purpose here on earth and are now in the light!” Hold fast to God. You are the reason our family is what it is today.
What a privilege and joy it has been to be your granddaughter and to have had beautiful experiences with you and our family. Grandpa, thank you.
I’m grateful that you created my father and his brothers. We appreciate you considering our family to be yours. We appreciate everything you did for us and the extra effort you always put in. Hello again soon! I will always love you.
