Everything your idol does, Pele did it first

Since Pele passed away on Thursday, many people have been reflecting on how amazing he was. One video shows how far ahead of his time he was.

Pele, whose true name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento, died on Thursday after a battle with colon cancer that had recently required hospitalization for him.

The former striker is still the only person to have three World Cup victories. He helped Brazil win the tournament back-to-back in 1958 and 1962, which hasn’t happened since, and he was awarded the Golden Ball on the way to his third World Cup victory in 1970.

The former Santos great has numerous accomplishments and honors, including being voted FIFA‘s Player of the Century, in addition to his three world championships.

Only Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo can truly live up to his incredible history over the years.

Many of his games were regarded as “friendlies,” so some have questioned the validity of some of his records, particularly the number of goals he scored.

That was a result of him remaining in Brazil and competing against visiting teams, but it is important to remember that these were fiercely tough games.

Any charges that he was a “fake,” as is the present accusation, are refuted by a film showcasing his abilities, which demonstrates how many of the kinds of feats he performed before players like Messi, Ronaldo, the Brazilian Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, and others.

After his passing at the age of 82, tributes to the great man from players both past and present began to pour in on social media.
