Kathmandu: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated the winners of the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘A’ Division League 2021-22, Machhindra Football Club (MFC).
Infantino Congratulated in a letter addressed to the Machhindra Club.
Machhindra, who defeated APF Football Club 2-1 in the final league match on Saturday, had already defended the title with two games left in the league.
In a letter to the club, FIFA president Infantino said the title was the result of hard work, dedication and commitment and that everyone at the club could be proud of the achievement. He has encouraged the players to continue working with team spirit, passion and determination.
The letter said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your association for your contribution to the development and prosperity of football in Nepal, your region and around the world.
Machhindra won the game for the second time in a row, winning 11 games and drawing two.
