The five candidates for The Best FIFA Coach of the Year 2022 have been announced by FIFA. The candidates are Didier Deschamps, Walid Regragui, Carlo Ancelotti, Lionel Scaloni, and Pep Guardiola.

On Thursday, FIFA also announced the names of the five finalists for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach. The finest players and goalkeepers in both men’s and women’s football share the same traits.

FIFA selected Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel The Best Coach of 2021. Pep Guardiola of Spain and Roberto Mancini of Italy were passed over in favor of the German manager.

FIFA’s 2022 The Best awards have five coaches up for consideration:

Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid)

With Madrid, the Italian coach was able to win the Champions League, La Liga, and UEFA Super Cup. The only manager to have accomplished this feat four times is he.

Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)

With his present club, the Spanish manager won his fourth Premier League championship in five seasons.

After being eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League, he also had a significant impact.

Walid Regragui (Morocco)

Following their elimination of Belgium, Spain, and Portugal, the North African team emerged as the World Cup’s biggest surprise in Qatar. Regragui made Morocco the first African team to advance to the World Cup semifinals.

Didier Deschamps (France)

Despite losing to Argentina, the French coach advanced his squad in the World Cup.

Luis Scaloni (Argentina)

By leading the “Albiceleste” to their third World Cup victory, the Argentine coach created history. Since 1986, they had failed to win one. Furthermore, in his last 43 games as a coach, Scaloni has only suffered one defeat.
