Wolves held Nottingham Forest to a draw, a result that did neither team any favors in their battle to stay in the Premier League. Daniel Podence’s late equalizer was the difference.
To earn a point at the City Ground, Podence scored his sixth goal of the year by opening up his body and curling past Keylor Navas.
Because of a groin ailment, Brennan Johnson was unable to represent Wales for the international team and gave Forest the lead in the first half.
After getting his hands on Danilo’s pass, Johnson scored through Jose Sa’s knees and from the tightest of angles.

Early in the second half, both teams’ assistant head coaches were sent off. Forest’s Alan Tate and Wolves’ Pablo Sanz were both booted out of the dugout after the visitors argued for a penalty after Adama Traore was brought down in the box.
After a VAR review, Chris Kavanagh did not intervene when Johnson appeared to infer that Podence spat in his direction during the final minutes.
Wolves are in 13th place, one point ahead of Forest in 14th, and three points above the relegation zone.
