In preparation for the final of the FIFA World Cup on Sunday, three players have been affected by the flu that has spread among the French football team. Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano did not play in Wednesday’s quarterfinal against Morocco due to the same flu.

French coach Didier Deschamps and his technical team are under stress after Kingsley Koman, who was not used in the team that day, also got the flu.
Deschamps, who hopes to recover by Sunday, said that all the players will recover in the next four days after the semi-final.

“It’s flu season now, so we all have to be careful,” Deschamps said. “As the players are working hard, the immune system may also be reduced.”
Deschamps’ France faces Argentina for the title on Sunday. Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0 in the semi-finals.

If they beat France, Argentina will win the World Cup for the first time since 1986 and for the third time overall. France, which won the world championship in Russia four years ago, is on a campaign to defend its title for the first time since Brazil in 1962. France is also on course to become champions for the third time overall.
