According to one of his former players, Jose Mourinho will take over as the new manager of Brazil and has already started looking for assistant coaches.

After Tite decided to leave the national team after their World Cup quarterfinal elimination, the managerial position with the Selecao became open last month.

It creates a vacancy at the top of one of the greatest footballing nations, and Alberto acknowledged that the Roma manager is viewed as someone who may assume leadership.

Let me state it plainly, Alberto said on the Mundo GV podcast. Maybe Mourinho will take over as Brazil’s head coach. I’m informing the public of this news.

Carlos also declared:

‘He’s also asked me to work as his assistant.’

The retired athlete, who played for Porto for two seasons and spent the majority of his playing career in Brazil, forged a strong bond with Mourinho.

After Fernando Santos was fired as Portugal’s manager, there was a lot of speculation about the former Chelsea manager’s future. However, it is now anticipated that Roberto Martinez will take over.

According to the most recent Italian rumors, Mourinho’s contract with Roma runs through 2024, and the club does not want him to leave.

Mourinho is currently focused on Roma, but he hopes the team won’t get in the way of his goal of leading the national team by June 2023.

He has been with the Serie A team for a year and a half and has assisted in their rise to sixth position in the Italian top division this year.
