Kieffer Moore sinks Latvia as Wales top Group D

International

Wales kept up their winning ways in Group D of the Euro 2024 qualifying process by defeating Latvia 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kieffer Moore.

Moore’s forceful header from Daniel James’ cross gave Wales the lead just before halftime. It found its way into the bottom corner of the goal.

As Wales attempted to score a second goal, Neco Williams struck the crossbar.

Before the game, they provided Gareth Bale with a guard of honor as he said goodbye to the home crowd.

Wales had reason to celebrate when they went to the top of their group after Croatia, who had won 2-0 in Turkey and had four points after two games, conceded an away goal.

They will be pleased with their start as they attempt to qualify for Germany in 2024, given their injury problems, retirements, and poor World Cup.
