PSG Considers Michael Olise as a Lionel Messi Alternative

Transfer

According to the Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain is considering a deal for Michael Olise of Crystal Palace as a Lionel Messi alternative.

Due to his summer contract expiration, Messi will leave Le Parc des Princes after two Ligue 1 seasons.

PSG wants to replace him with Michael Olise, which would transform the way the team approaches transfers.

The Parisian team has spent the last 20 years trying to sign the biggest names in the world, including Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

In contrast, the acquisition of Frenchman Olise, age 21, would indicate that they are seeking promising young players to nurture.

Although the young player has managed nine assists in the 2022–23 Premier League season, Palace would be reluctant to move him. However, a deal is still feasible, especially if they keep Wilfried Zaha.

Messi To Saudi Arabia?

French news outlet AFP has offered Messi a €700 million contract to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal this summer.

Al Nassr, the current club of Cristiano Ronaldo, competes against Al-Hilal.

They reportedly offered Messi a staggering €363 million annual compensation, which translates to €726 million over the course of the two-year contract.

According to the article, Messi also has the choice to stay another year.

Barcelona is still interested in re-signing the Argentine forward, but will be unable to match Al-Hilal’s compensation package.
