The story of Jurgen Klopp’s selfie with Messi

Football

Jurgen Klopp disclosed that the only selfie he has on his phone is one he supposedly took with Lionel Messi in the same room as Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 55-year-old manager of Liverpool bumped into Messi at a gathering a few years ago when Ronaldo was also present.

Jurgen Klopp’s comments regarding Lionel Messi?

Like many others, Klopp was compelled to take a photo with Messi, who is recognized as the greatest player to have ever played the game.

Klopp jokingly admitted: “I only have one selfie on my smartphone during a Q&A session in 2018. With Messi, that is. Cristiano was also present in the room.”

But as he addressed the audience, he said that his father had also informed him Pele was the greatest footballer to have ever lived.

The German continued, “My father always told me that Pele was the best, regardless of what people could think in the future.”

“When I worked as a commentator for the 2006 World Cup, I truly got to know him.”

“I don’t usually get apprehensive, but at that particular time, I was perspiring profusely.”

Which player, amongst Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, does Jurgen Klopp believe is superior?

Regarding his position on the Messi vs. Ronaldo controversy, Klopp previously acknowledged that it is difficult to distinguish between the two.

However, if forced to choose, he would support the Argentine over his Portuguese foe.

In 2020, he made an appearance on the YouTube channel freekickerz and stated, “For me Messi, but I couldn’t admire Ronaldo more than I do already.”

“We’ve already played against both, and both are quite tough to defend, so that explains it. Messi, meanwhile, has significantly less physical demand from infancy.”

“If you could draw the ideal player, he would be tall like Cristiano Ronaldo and be able to jump and sprint just as fast or quickly. His overall attitude, which is flawless and professional and could not be better, is then added to that.

And over there, on the other side, is the little Messi, who makes everything seem so easy. Because of this, I think I like him a little bit better as a player on the field. However, Cristiano is also a fantastic athlete.

It’s quite challenging, but they do share the fact that they both left their marks for such a very long time.

There are some younger players with promise that is comparable, but doing so over such a long period of time is even more amazing.
