When will Gabriel Jesus return?

Players

On Boxing Day, Arsenal continued where they left off before the World Cup, defeating West Ham 3-1 to increase their advantage atop the Premier League. But many players are yet to return from injury.

But for that match against the Hammers, the Gunners were still without four key members of their first team, despite Mikel Arteta’s team demonstrating their ability to perform admirably without Gabriel Jesus in attack. The Spaniard will nevertheless be praying for no new setbacks before the travel to face Brighton on Saturday.

When will Gabriel Jesus return ?

Jesus, a Brazilian forward who injured his knee during the 2022 World Cup, underwent surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

The summer acquisition, who was pictured using crutches for Arsenal’s Boxing Day victory over West Ham, will be sidelined for the long term, dealing the Gunners a crushing blow. Arteta hasn’t yet given a precise duration for his absence, though.

“With Gabby [Jesus], it’s very difficult to put a date [on his recovery],” Arteta stated in a statement on December 22. Given his history, I would rather not disclose any specific dates.
